Team Survivor Northwest member Joanne was diagnosed with cancer on September 11, 2001, at the age of 39. Five years later, when her cancer returned, she found Team Survivor Northwest, a community that would become an important part of her journey. Joanne joined the Climbing Team and went on to summit Mt. Adams in 2019, a testament to her strength and determination. She didn’t stop there! In August 2022, Joanne reunited with the team and summitted Mt. Saint Helens. She brought laughter, courage, and deep friendship to both her teammates and the broader Team Survivor community. Joanne passed away in 2026, leaving behind a lasting legacy of resilience and joy.
