The annual gala is Team Survivor Northwest’s biggest event of the year, raising approximately half of the annual operating budget. This year, our goal is to raise a total of $175,000. After a long (virtual) hiatus, we are excited to have so many join us in person on the evening of Saturday, September 30th at the Overlake Golf & Country Club for what is sure to be an un-fore-gettable evening! Tickets are SOLD OUT, but you can still register to bid in the online silent auction.

Our silent auction opens a week before the event and runs through event day. You can still participate in the silent auction even if you are unable to attend the gala, and all of the money raised will go directly toward supporting Team Survivor’s life-changing programs for women who have had a cancer diagnosis. To register to bid, click here.

Golden Tickets

Our popular Golden Ticket drawing is back! What makes the Golden Ticket so special? If your ticket is selected, you get to choose one of our best auction items – these are higher value items expected to bid for over $1,000 in the live auction. What does Team Survivor Northwest do?

Team Survivor Northwest seeks to facilitate a world in which every woman cancer survivor has the resources and support to return to her best physical and emotional well-being. We provide a variety of programs – dragon boating, fitness classes, cycling and hiking just to name a few – offered at no cost to our members. These programs are thoughtfully designed to meet women where they are in their cancer journey. Whether they have a new diagnosis or are in remission, Team Survivor supports physical health and beyond by creating a tight community of cancer survivors who support each other in the rollercoaster of cancer treatement and recovery. We are so grateful for your support of a cause that truly transforms lives.

After a particularly difficult few years in which we have all had to adapt to stay safe during the pandemic, we are excited to improve, reconnect and celebrate the women of Team Survivor in person this year!

TSNW is a is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Be a Table Captain

Table Captains serve a crucial role in spreading the word about the gala and making sure the room is full of excitement. Your role is simply to invite your friends and colleagues so you have a table of 10 people. (They can purchase their own tickets or you or your business can generously purchase them.) This is a fun and easy way to get involved and support our cause! To sign up to be a Table Captain, click here. To view our Table Captain Guide, click here.

Invite!

You know that feeling when you taste a great bite of food and you want to share it with someone else so they know how good it is? We hope you feel that way about Team Survivor Northwest. When you share the work that this organization does with others, more and more people will learn and potentially benefit from our free programs. By inviting your friends to the gala, those life-changing programs will receive the much-needed financial support that they need to improve and grow!

If you are a member, keep in mind that your story has the power to touch people in a way that a paper invitation couldn’t possibly do, so don’t be afraid to express to your guests what Team Survivor means to you and how it has improved your life! You may be surprised by how eager they are to help. Invite your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to join us on September 30th!

Procurement

Our fabulous procurement team is working hard to secure exciting items to offer in both our silent and live auctions, and every year we are blown away by the generous donations provided by our TSNW community that make our auctions a huge success.

We are currently looking for items that fit in the following categories:

  • Experiences! Do you have a vacation rental you’d be willing to share? Tickets to a Seattle sports team? Seats at the ballet, opera, or symphony? Access to a boat? The sky is the limit – these experience items always perform well at the auction.
  • Are you a member of a winery? Donate a wine tasting and/or contact the winery on our behalf to request a donation.
  • Share your talents! Donate a photography session, host dinner for a group, craft a unique floral arrangement – get creative!

The sky is the limit – anything you would be excited to bid on will likely get others excited as well!

Refer or become a sponsor

This is not only a fundraising event, but an opportunity for our members and the local community to gather to celebrate cancer fighters and survivors! Your sponsorship or referral will make a huge impact in a year when the economy is unstable. We offer many programs to specifically support and we have a variety of ways to show our gratitude and recognize our sponsors.

Donations Make the Difference

Help us continue to grow this community, enhance our programs, and secure a strong legacy for the powerful women, present and future, that make Team Survivor so special. Our goal this year is to raise a total of $175,000. (We anticipate $125,000 of that will come through donations and the rest through auction items.) It is a big number, but we know our community will come through as you always have.

With your continued support over the past few years, we’ve been able to pivot time and time again in an effort to serve our members. Our online fitness classes continue to thrive, expanding our reach to cancer survivors without borders. We have also safely launched several in-person fitness classes, as well as continuing our in-person outdoor programs this year – bringing together old and new friends who gathered to celebrate their own strength by moving their bodies while supporting one another.

The benefit of recent publicity in Good Morning America was a big increase of members seeking our free programs. Now we need to increase our fundraising efforts to meet the demands of a growing organization. Thank you for providing the means for our members to thrive!

Volunteer

We will need some volunteers to help on the day of the event (September 30th). Volunteering is a fun way to support the community and make new friends. To learn more and find the role that fits your interests, email Krysta at mvpcoordinator@teamsurvivornw.org.
