Active Women Healthy Women – Burien

The focus of Active Women Healthy Women (AWHW) is on building strength, and the beauty of strength training is that it benefits everyone, from the couch potato to the hard-core athlete. If you are recently out of treatment, strength training can reduce fatigue and make it easier to do everyday activities such as carrying the groceries or lifting your child or grandchild. If you are already active, it can improve your performance (i.e., make you a stronger cyclist, paddler, or hiker) and help prevent injuries. Strength training also improves your metabolism and is good for your bones.
