Fitness at Home
Now you can stay active and connected from home! Due to the stay-at-home orders and for the safety of our members, we have moved many of our classes and programs online this year. There are fitness classes, conversation groups and even virtual duathlon training to keep you active and connected during this period. To learn more or sign up for a class, click here.
Our community STEPPED UP for Survivors for our annual GiveBIG campaign on May 6th! Together, 185 donors gave a total of more than $36,000 to support Team Survivor Northwest’s life-changing programs. In a year of separation and struggle, the TSNW community united and showed it is ready to take on the challenge! (See our Program Challenge results here.)
Team Survivor was recently featured in a Fred Hutch article, which demonstrates the positive health impact of exercise during and after a cancer diagnosis. Click here to read the article and look for the sidebar, “Friendship, fitness and fun: Team Survivor Northwest turns 25.” Based on the research, do you believe health care providers should be writing prescriptions for exercise?
We believe in the power of fitness to improve women’s lives after a cancer diagnosis. Our belief is backed by research, science and women who have walked through our doors. Fitness and an active lifestyle not only improve outcomes but empower women survivors to feel better and thrive. Read some of our member’s stories here or watch the video below.
