     WE DID IT!

Thank you for giving big yesterday! Your donations helped us raise $5559. Your generosity and enthusiasm is what keeps this organization thriving. Thank you for keeping Team Survivor Northwest in your hearts.

In addition we received wonderful news yesterday that we were one of a handful of non-profits randomly selected to receive the #GiveBIG Dollars for Change Award of $2500. We’d like to give a shout out to Susan Hestor, whose donation to TSNW on the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG site triggered us to receive this Award. Thank you Susan!

Including the Dollars for Change Award we raised $8059, that along with the $5000 matching funds, some of which came through the GiveBIG site, we raised a final total of $11,756. Thank you Seattle Foundation and thanks to all who gave yesterday and pledged in advance. We couldn’t have done it without you!

All the proceeds from GiveBIG will go toward the 2018 retreat. We have big things planned and your donation will help ensure more women cancer survivors can attend.

The Team Survivor’s Northwest Retreat brings together long-term and new cancer survivors, lets members sample various physical activities, and provides helpful and inspiring talks on health and fitness. It often provides a vital turning point in recovery for our members. The sense of community and support from women who understand what you’re dealing with goes hand-in-hand with the physical activities.

July 10-12

This year’s bike trip will take place from July 10-12th. The trip begins on beautiful Lopez Island then on day 2 moves to San Juan Island and finishes day 3 on Orcas Island. Participants stay at the beautiful Ship Harbor Inn in Anacortes for two nights. If you like to bike and want to spend three afternoons biking through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Pacific Northwest, then this is the trip for you.

There is no cost for this trip, but you will need to pay for your own stay at the inn. To lower your cost we recommend sharing a room. CLICK HERE to reserve your spot on the trip. When you receive confirmation you’ll want to make a reservation at Ship Harbor Inn http://www.shipharborinn.com/.
